This Tender is the only version with the large Candy Cane on it. This is the most brightly colored of ALL the Holiday Express color schemes. I have modified the front deck on this Tender to include an animated polar bear cub. This sitting bear cub rotates back and forth as the train rolls by. It also has the standard animated elf on the rear that pops up out of his hiding spot . The gingerbread fence deck on the front where the polar bear cub has been added is normally occupied by a static candy display (see last two photos). I found it strange that all of the other Dillard's polar bear trains have the polar bear on board the Tender, but for some reason the Candy Cane tender did not. I made this modification to my own personal Christmas train and now I have built a 2nd one so you can have one too. It is fully plug-in compatible with the entire single-wire Holiday Express train line up: (380 single-wire, 383, 384, 385, 386 & 387 series). Does not work with the 2-wire 380 series trains (meaning two separate wires that plug in-between the tender and locomotive). Tested, in good working condition. Great animation, lights and sound. The Tree Top Tender has great flashing lights across the top gifts and tree star. The Tender is the car that picks up power from the track and sends it forward to power the engine up front and it also runs the lights on all the cars that follow. The Tender also houses the speaker for all the sounds that the train makes. This tender have been test run for proper working operation. Don't get stuck buying a dud ; all my trains have been hooked up and actually test run on the track for lights and animation. They will have good rolling wheels, no broken connectors or couplers.
