Glass PICKLE Ornament New and Unused, individually packaged for shipping. Made of glass the pickles are a beautiful shade of green. 2 1/2" tall and 1" wide. Each ornament comes with a small card, describing the tradition of the Pickle The Old German Tradition Says... The pickle is a symbol of good luck. This is the last ornament placed on the tree, after the children have gone to bed on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, the children search the tree. The first to find the pickle is rewarded with an extra gift from St. Nicholas. My daughter spends time studying the tree in the days before Christmas hoping it will help her recognize the additional ornament faster on Christmas Morning.
